Just a quick update to let everyone know that I will be adding a guestbook to the Daily Addison page so we can see who is visiting that site. Once it's up and running, please leave your mark and fill it out.
Over the past few days I have felt a real dedication, and appreciation to my new family. I have been able to spend a great deal of time with Jaymie and Tyson (pre-addie), learning how a single mother has raised her child. If I had to choose one word to sum up the 8 years that she spent before I met her, I can't. I can, however, see her laughing, teaching, scared, loving, venturing, lost, excited and humble with her son. I hope to experience some of these same adjectives with my daughter.
Addie, Jaymie and I went and saw the Doctor today for her 6 week check-up. I can't believe it has been 6 weeks already.
If I kept track of how many hours that I have spent my life in front of a computer monitor, I think it would be an astronomical number.
Addie is 37 days old today. I think back about where my life was 10 months ago and where it is now, and how much more calm and controlled it feels.
I have no real excuses why I have not been posting lately. With the birth of Addison Grace, I have been pretty busy, but I should be blogging more about that. And with that said, I will start today.
Each and every Friday I post 5 songs that caught my ear throughout the week.
WOOHOO! I have reached a major milestone in my blogging career. This is officially my 100th post! I haven't monitored traffic coming to my site in quite awhile, but for the few of you that do still come here, I hope you are still enjoying my nonsensical ramblings :)
Cheers,
Drew
It's cold outside. I'm cold. I don't want to be cold. I'm ready for spring. That is all.
Jaymie introduced me to these guys a few months ago, and until now, I never really listened to much of their catalog. Now that I have, I really am starting to like them. I was able to get my hands on a song off their newest album, Lost Channels, and have had it on repeat for about 20 minutes now. Now go check out their music, and if you like it, buy an album or see one of their upcoming shows!
Jaymie, Tyson, Tabor and I have found a new house and are in the process of moving all our worldly belongings. Posts will be less frequent until the dust settles a bit!
U.K. folk and blues songwriter John Martyn has died at the age of 60, according to a statement on his official Web site. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

I've always liked staying up late to do work. I am just more focused at night. But lately, I've been staying up all night and sleeping almost all day and I have to say it's taking a toll. The days seem to fly by faster and it is harder to keep track of time. I'm about done with it.

It's that time of year when people see the big number roll over and decide to reminisce over good times and bad, and talk of where they plan to go until the big number rolls again.
